Patrick Mahomes is arguably the number-one NFL star right now, and it is no wonder he is among the stars featured in the upcoming Netflix show "Quarterback."
Many young kids who look up to the Kansas City Chief superstar will find the documentary inspirational.
For Mahomes, though, inspiring young kids is not his main goal. According to the show's executive producer and NFL legend Peyton Manning, the two-time Super Bowl MVP decided to do the documentary for his own kid.
"I could tell that Patrick wanted to do it, so his kids would know what he used to do and what his life is like, because they're so young now," the Denver Broncos legend said in an interview with Ryan Glasspiegel.

Manning also previewed what fans will see from Mahomes in the documentary, things they do not see that much on regular television coverage.
"I think people will be surprised to see that because obviously, you don't really have that access on the field all the time," Manning said.
"My feeling is he doesn't really start out doing it, but if you poke the bear, look out. This is a competitive guy. A Raiders pass rusher found that out the hard way. He's looking for things that challenge him."
When will the documentary air?
"Quarterback" is the first partnership between Netflix and NFL. It will feature the league's greatest QB, specifically Kirk Cousins, Patrick Mahomes, and Marcus Mariota.
Fans can get up close and personal with their favorite QB as cameras follow the featured players from their homes to the huddle and many parts of their personal lives.
The series has eight episodes and will air on July 12.
