A Ferrari is a rare sight, so Odell Beckham is not seen that much in organized team activities.

The priced Baltimore Ravens' recruit of 2023 just used an uno reverse card against detractors who want him to rush his recovery by using the Ferrari tag given to him by former NFL player and The Pat MacAFee Show analyst Adam Jones.

"I joked with my people, 'I know the Ravens just bought a Ferrari, and they want to take it out on the track, but I want to take that Ferrari out on the track when we're out in California; it's 82 degrees with a little breeze. Not when it's a little rainy and you can't push it to the limit'."

He said this in jest. He insisted that he wants a gradual recovery to fully prepare for a new season with his new team.

Beckham signed a one-year contract with Baltimore in April this year despite his injury record, including the more devastating ACL he incurred during the 2022 Super Bowl LVI while he was still with the Los Angeles Rams.

Peaking at the right moment

The exciting wide receiver is trying to stay focused on his own timetable, saying he wants to peak at the right moment.

He said his knees are feeling great now, and wants to be fully healthy before September 10.

"It's about peaking at the right time," he explained.

"There's no other way for me to put it. I'm on that slow incline to where, come Sept. 10 or whatever that date is, that's when I'll be ready. [I'm] not ready to play in a game right now and that's OK. I think the most important thing is about how to get there and how to last for the season."
