The Golden Knights defeated the Florida Panthers four games to one to win the 2023 NHL Stanley Cup Final.

Vegas Golden Knights secured its first-ever Stanley Cup trophy on June 13 after beating Florida Panthers in five games, and the parade over the weekend was everyone's excuse to celebrate and, for some, to get wasted and create an all-time viral moment.

That's what William Karlsson did during the team's parade celebration Flamingo Road, eventually creating what fans thought was the greatest drunk speech ever.

Wild Bill was among the first to join the Golden Knights as an expansion team and was there during the team's major heartbreaks in the playoffs.

The 30-year-old center seems to have consumed liquor beyond normal, taking over the microphone and interacting with ecstatic fans.

During his speech, he acknowledged the efforts of the fans and their support and talked to them using words that were not appropriate for television.

"You guys are so amazing, we played Arizona in the first game and we beat the s-t out of them," he said.

He even talked about his scoreless stint but remained feeling great about it.

"And I had no points, but that's ok because that year one I was pretty f-king great. But you guys were greater. We've been up and down on this journey to the cup."

That speech resonated with fans who even thought it was the great drunk speech of all time, while others thought Karlsson deserved to have a street named after him.

Golden Knights owner wants two more

The Stanley Cup 2023 had just been wrapped up, but Golden Knights owner Bill Foley is already excited for the following seasons, believing they can win two more.

He thinks they can do it since they can keep the championship core.

"One of the things I feel about this team, is we're going to be able to keep the core of our Stanley Cup Championship team together better than a lot of the previous winners," he said.
