The Georgia Bulldogs preserved their unbeaten record with an impressive 49-point victory over the Charleston Southern Buccaneers in Week 12. The Bulldogs will look to keep their perfect slate intact when they take on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets this weekend. Georgia Bulldogs enter Week 13 as -35 favorites

Georgia's sizzling start continued in Week 12 with an emphatic 56-7 victory over Charleston Southern at Sanford Stadium. It was an important result for Kirby Smart's men, who improved their season record to a perfect 11-0 slate. Georgia maintained its No. 1 spot in the Associated Press Top 25 poll and the College Football Playoff rankings with the victory.

Georgia's defense was once again spectacular in Week 12, holding the Bucs to just seven points, the eighth game this season that the Bulldogs' opposition failed to score at least 10 points. They lead the FBS in scoring defense, allowing just 7.55 points per game this season.

In the opening two quarters, the game was all but over in the first half, with Georgia outscoring Charleston Southern, 49-0. Stetson Bennett completed 8 of 14 passes for 105 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. Bennett remains the Bulldogs' starter, with Smart opting to keep the now-healthy JT Daniels on the bench.

For Georgia to cover the spread against Georgia Tech, the Bulldogs will need to establish the run in this matchup. The Yellow Jackets are 101st in the nation in rushing defense, allowing 179.6 yards per game on the ground this season. That will be music to the ears of Zamir White, who ran for 83 yards and a score on four carries in the win against Charleston Southern.

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets installed as +35 underdogs

Georgia Tech's losing woes show no sign of ending as the Yellow Jackets crashed to their fifth consecutive defeat with an embarrassing 55-0 loss to Notre Dame on Saturday. The Yellow Jackets had no answer for Jack Coan, who passed for 285 yards and two touchdowns. It was another disappointing performance by Georgia Tech, who dropped to 3-8 this season.

It won't get any easier for them in Week 13 as they will next face a Georgia team that has yet to lose a single game this season. The Bulldogs are far superior in every statistical category this season, ranking second in sacks allowed, seventh in scoring offense, and second in total defense.

For Georgia Tech to keep the game close against Georgia, it needs to do a much better job protecting its quarterback. Georgia Tech has allowed 30 sacks this season. That will be a problem against the Bulldogs, who have recorded 38 sacks thus far this campaign, the fourth-highest in the FBS.
