Carmelo Anthony deemed his frustration at "an all-time high" Monday night as he walked off the floor following the New York Knicks 102-91 loss to the Portland Trailblazers, the team's sixth straight defeat.
"I've worked my butt off to get in tip-top shape and to be able to compete at the highest level," Anthony told ESPN. "To work that hard and to be losing like we are, it's not a great feeling."
If it's any consolation, at least Anthony thinks he knows what ails his team. "When the ball doesn't move, you can't get into a rhythm," said Anthony who netted 34 points against the Blazers on 25 shots. "When the ball's not moving around, that makes it tough for the rest of the team to have fun out there. Right now, we're not having fun."
The now Knicks 3-10 were again without starting guard Raymond Felton, who sat out his fourth straight game with a sore lower back and left hip, and center Tyson Chandler, who remains sidelined with a broken leg.
It's not known when either player might return for the Knicks, who now find themselves with a worse record than 12 other teams in the Eastern Conference, including the conference leading Indiana Pacers who have jumped out to a 13-1 start.
