Knoxville News Sentinel have reported that Glenn Jacobs, who is bettern known to everybody as "Kane", have filed paperworks to amass campaign donations for his bid for the mayoralty race in the said city. The WWE Star identified himself as a Republican based on the document available for public viewing and named Brian Carl as his treasurer.
A resident of the city for more than two decades according to NY Daily News, the wrestler billed at 7-feet tall is confident that the experience that he had with the World Wrestling Entertainment is a big advantage to him. "I have an inherent understanding because of WWE...of how a campaign works," added the 49-year old aspirant.
WYCB posted on their interview that given a chance to serve his home city, he would focus on bringing business to the place which will lead to generating more jobs for his constituents. He also mentioned that Knox County is a great place to live and he wanted to do his part for the city moving forward.

Jacobs believe that with the modern technology, his chances of reaching out to more people to get their votes. "Millennials are now nearly as big a voting block as baby boomers," Kane further explained.
In February, Knox News wrote that despite having zero background in the field of politics, Jacobs still see it as an advantage. "We're a new set of eyes on the new problems and challenges that we'll have going forward. I think that we're really in a transitional period as a county."
Before Jacobs, WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler also tried his luck for a political seat in his native Memphis in 1999. The New York Times, though, revealed that "The King" just finished 3ed in the mayoralty race, gathering 11.7 percent of total votes.
