NFL News: Bryan Stork Announces He's Done Playing Football At The Age Of 26

Just like that, it's game over for former New England Patriots offensive lineman, Bryan Stork. Bryan Stork is walking away from the game that he loves so dearly for good.

In a report from the Bleacher Report, Bryan Stork announced on Tuesday that he's retiring from the NFL at the very young age of 26 years old. Bryan Stork last played for the New England Patriots in 2015.

Bryan Stork confirmed his decision to retire on social media. In a lengthy Twitter post, Bryan Stork said that since he's only 26 years old, it's not a true retirement but instead said that his time playing football is over and it's finally time to walk away from the game that he will always love dearly.

"I can't say I'm retiring because I'm only 26 but I have decided to officially step away from playing the game of football, which I will always love dearly," Bryan Stork said on Twitter. "While chasing a childhood dream I was very blessed I had family, friends, and coaches on my side to help me get to where I wanted to go."

Bryan Stork played his college football career at the Florida State University, where he won a national championship in 2013. On that same year, Bryan Stork also won the Rimington Trophy for being the best college football center.

The New England Patriots then drafted him in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. Bryan Stork was mostly a starter during his rookie season until an injury forced him to miss the AFC Championship round. Bryan Stork eventually returned to play in Super Bowl XLIX as he helped the New England Patriots beat the Seattle Seahawks.

The following season proved to be a disappointing one for Bryan Stork. Bryan Stork missed all of the 2016 season due to injuries.

Before the 2016 season began, Bryan Stork was already set to be traded to the Washington Redskins. A failed physical voided the trade, via a report from USA Today. The New England Patriots eventually released Bryan Stork.
