WWE Rumors: Paige Safe From Getting Released Despite Leaked Explicit Pictures, Videos

It has been a bad a year and a half for Paige that started with an injury at the start of last year followed by another injury before getting suspended twice for failing the WWE Wellness Policy. And to cap it off, several explicit pictures and videos of her were leaked online this past week.

Many fans are now wondering what Paige's status is with the WWE following the online hack and if there is a possibility of her getting released. According to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, the WWE is not going to punish the two-time Divas champion, as well as Xavier Woods.

The feeling backstage in the WWE is that Paige and Woods did not violate the morality clause in their contracts. It is because they did not voluntarily publish the explicit pictures and videos and it was stolen from their private accounts

Another possible reason why the WWE won't fire Paige is because of the upcoming movie based on her life and family. "Fighting With My Family" is produced by The Rock's Seven Bucks Productions along with WWE Studios, per Sportskeeda.

Firing Paige in the middle of a controversy is a bad public relation move for the WWE and The Rock won't let the company fire her. The movie's main protagonist is based on the 24-year-old WWE superstar and it will be hard to promote if she is not part of the company.

It should also be noted that the WWE did not punish Seth Rollins in 2015 when explicit pictures of him were leaked by an ex-girlfriend. The incident happened at WrestleMania 31 but it had no effects on his push. Rollins went on to win the WWE World championship at the main event of WrestleMania 31 after cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase.

As for Xavier Woods, who was with Paige in one of the explicit videos, he is still part of The New Day and they will host WrestleMania 33. He also appeared this Monday night on Raw wherein he had a backstage segment. There were also "We Want Paige" chants during the event.
