NFL News: Colin Kaepernick To Seattle Seahawks A Possibility Now

Colin Kaepernick will also not opt out of his national anthem protest and will opt out of his contract with San Francisco 49ers. Now, he is preparing himself to get into the Seattle Seahawks.

Kaepernick to the Seahawks may sound weird just because of San Francisco's past history against their NFC west rival, it is the likeliest of all unlikely destinations for the player. The disappointment for player should be him not getting signed as starting quarter-back in NFL but at the same time he should be happy he is getting the right place to get his career back on track.

Kaepernick still is quite strong and has all the basic skill set, with that arm and his mobility, to serve as a backup for Seahawks' Russell Wilson. Currently, that second choice role is taken up by second-year undrafted quarter-back Trevone Boykin, a talent who is intriguing and is more of a development thing than an assurance.

Kaepernick could enjoy working with Wilson and absorb lots of things by practicing and training with him. Kaepernick's accuracy, footwork and mechanics have all taken big hits in regression. Wilson in these aspects has become one of the best in the league.

Kaepernick has lacked reliable coaching to him and comfortable support once Harbaugh left. Pete Carroll could manage to provide stability to him on the sidelines, Darrell Bevell has the offense to maximise his inner potentials.

Kaepernick was often foiled by the Seahawks' defence, has gained more respect from those players. There was some Seattle solidarity with him during the national anthem protest, led by Jeremy Lane. Richard Sherman understood as to what Kaepernick wanted to do and show with that protest. Michael Bennett gave his full support to the player.

But, as reported Kaepernick won't be protesting again this season, his potential next coaches and players will still feel they can't stand by what he has done already. Kaepernick doesn't need to worry about that with the Seahawks.
