Arizona Cardinals rookie running back Andre Ellington may have won the game, but he lost a part of his identity when his dreadlocks were pulled out by Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Jason Babin during the Cardinals' 27-14 road win Sunday at EverBank Field.
Following the play, Babin held the hair in his hands before dropping the locks to the ground. After the game, Cardinals vice president of media relations Mark Dalton posted on Twitter that Ellington was able to get his lost hair back:
Good news - Andre Ellington got his hair back after all #AZvsJAX pic.twitter.com/MWlbVHLRBg

Dalton also continued that "the lost locks were not extensions but indeed real hair 5 yrs in the making; return is questionable," via his Twitter account. Ellington had three yards on eight carries during the game to bring his season total to 391 yards on 62 carries with two scores.
Arizona improved to 6-4 on the season and will next suit up against the Indianapolis Colts at home Sunday in Week 12 while the Jaguars fell to 1-9 in the loss and will look to defeat the Texans in Houston next Sunday.
Ellington tweeted the following after the game:
Hair is all good. Nothing serious. Look worse than it really was. S/o to the dread heads! Will get it stitch back in. Birdgang got the win!

In the victory for Arizona, Carson Palmer was 30-for-42 for 419 yards with two passing touchdowns and was sacked three times. Larry Fitzgerald and Malcolm Floyd each had six receptions and a touchdown while Floyd had 193 receiving yards and Fitzgerald mounted 61.
Rashard Mendenhall was the team's leading rusher, as he carried for just 14 yards on 13 attempts but added a score.
While Ellington lost his hair and was reunited with it after the game, the running back will be happy that the team walked away with a victory over Jacksonville on Sunday.
