NBA Trade Rumors: Will Jimmy Butler Move To Philadelphia 76ers?

Chicago Bulls have started this season with a mediocre 21-21 record in NBA Eastern Conference. The team by far has not lived up to the expectations despite signing few free agents Rajon Rondo and Dwyane Wade in the off season market. In the latest NBA Rumor mill, Bulls' Jimmy Butler is linked with either of Minnesota Timberwolves or more so with Philadelphia 76ers.

The two guards of the Bulls were supposed to be paired with franchise player Jimmy Butler in order to form a 'big three' but the experiment was an utter disaster. Rondo was benched recently because of his poor and uninspired play, Wade was okay but he clearly isn't a player of the stature that used to win titles for the Miami Heat.

The trio were doomed from the start because they are not shooters but ball dominant guards. The Bulls are currently in 8th spot off the playoff standings, they might want to make few changes in the lineup if they are to move the table and challenge for those elusive playoff spots.

Jimmy Butler is having a breakout season and is averaging career highs in every stats category. The problem is Bulls aren't winning as much as Jiimy would have liked given his recent form, and the team maybe tempted to make few changes to its roster before the NBA trade deadline. Even though Butler is a franchise player, Bulls maybe ready to move on without him in future.

There were few teams that have been linked to the player, mainly Minnesota Timberwolves and Philadelphia 76ers. The TImberwolves have a lot of young and intriguing players in their roster, and their coach is Tom Thibodeau who has coached Butler when he was at the Bulls.

This familiarity maybe enough for the player to move to Minnesota but still Philadelphia are strong favourittes to land the player because of what they will offer in return which is quite vital.

The Chicago Bulls want a high draft pick to part ways with Jimmy Butler, 2017 NBA draft is supposed to be loaded with some good talents and Bulls would want a high pick so that they start rebuilding the team. Fortunately for them, Philadelphia is capable to to provide them with that, along with other very valuable assets.
