The WWE presented "SmackDown" from Kansas City, Mo. on Tuesday (set to air Thursday) as the feud between WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns and No. 1 contender AJ Styles continued.
In the main event, Reigns and The Usos defeted Styles, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows after the reigning champion hit a spear on Anderson for the win. The show ended with a staredown between Reigns and Styles.
The bout started as a standard tag match between Anderson and Gallows and The Usos, The match ended in double disqualification after Reigns was kicked in the face by Anderson, jumped in the ring, and a brawl erupted.
The show kicked off with Chris Jericho's highlight reel and he bragged about putting Dean Ambrose in the hospital. His guest was Sami Zayn, but they were interrupted by The Miz and Maryse. Jericho walked out on the show.
Zayn won a match against The Miz after Kevin Owens, who was on commentary, attacked him. Cesaro then made the save from a beatdown.
In other action, The Vaudevillians toppled Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel and were attacked by Big Cass after the match, Natalya and Becky Lynch defeated Charlotte and Emma and Rusev squashed Zack Ryder and then had a confrontation with Kalisto.
This week's "SmackDown" airs just more than two weeks before Payback.
