Los Angeles Dodgers Rumors: Clayton Kershaw Gets In Car Accident, Takes Selfies With People Who Rear-Ended Him [PHOTO, POLL & VIDEO]

Clayton Kershaw's spring training took an unexpected detour over the weekend.

The Dodgers ace was driving in Arizona during a weekend slate of spring training games when he was unexpectedly rear-ended by a car. Rather than lose his cool, Kershaw happily took selfies with the occupants of the other vehicle after discovering no one was hurt from the crash.

"Welp.... I guess that's one way to end our spring training vacation ... But if you're going to get in a car accident... Get in an accident with Clayton Kershaw," a woman in the other car wrote on Facebook, chronicling her spring training trip to Arizona. "We are Banged and bruised, but ultimately alright. Thank you Kershaw for being so nice, Arizona highway patrol for dropping us off and Kahl/Guydos family for taking care of us!!"

The woman also said in her comments that Kershaw scorched one of her friends for donning a shirt of the rival Angels and walked away just fine, according to Deadspin.

Luckily, it was just a minor crash as the Dodgers need their ace more than ever this season after watching Zack Greinke bolt for the Diamondbacks. Kershaw, 28, finished 16-7 last season with a 2.13 ERA while leading Los Angeles to its third straight NL West division crown.

The Dodgers ultimately fell to the Mets in five games in the NLDS, ending their bid for their first World Series since 1988.

Thus far, the southpaw has picked up right where he left off in spring training. Kershaw is 2-0 with a 1.80 ERA and 15 strikeouts through four games and 15 innings this spring. Kershaw, a five-time All-Star, three-time Cy Young Award winner and the 2014 NL MVP, seems poised for yet another big year.

Maybe that's why all he can do is smile when he gets into a fender bender.

Which team will win the NL West in 2016?
