Tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET, the Anaheim Ducks (7-3-0) and Ottawa Senators (4-3-2) square off live from the Canadian Tire Center in Ottawa. The game can be live streamed here. Anaheim fans can hear all the action by turning their dials to KLAA-AM 830 while Senators fans can do the same on Team 1200 AM.
Anaheim enters this game in third place in the Pacific Division, three points behind the division-leading San Jose Sharks, while Ottawa enters in sixth place in the Atlantic Division, four points behind the first place Boston Bruins. In the second of two meetings between these two teams, Ottawa looks to avenge a 4-1 road loss to Anaheim on Oct. 13.
Since the loss, Ottawa has won three of four and look to keep the momentum going.
"I think we were embarrassed a little bit there," Senators captain Jason Spezza told the team website Thursday. "That game was not pretty; they carried the play all night and they buried their chances when they had it."
Spezza leads the team with 10 points off of a team-high seven goals along with three assists while Bobby Ryan has nine points off of six tallies and three helpers and Erik Karlsson (two goals, six assists) and Kyle Turris (one goal, team-high seven assists) each have eight.
Anaheim won seven games in a row recently, but will try to avoid a three-game losing streak through Canada after losing 4-1 to the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday and dropping a 4-2 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday.
Top-line forwards Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf were split up by coach Bruce Boudreau during the loss to Montreal with the team trailing 3-0.
"They weren't very good together so I thought we might get a little bit more oomph out of them if we split them up because they were getting outplayed, simple as that," Boudreau told NHL.com. "Every time they were on the ice we were in our zone."
Perry (five goals, four assists) and Getzlaf (three goals, team-high six assists) lead the team with nine points along with Mathieu Perreault, who has four tallies and five helpers.
Jonas Hiller (4-2-0) has played in seven games while posting a 2.65 goals-against average and a .911 save percentage for the Ducks while Craig Anderson has notched a 4-1-2 record to go along with a 2.58 GAA and a .958 save percentage thus far.
Anaheim will look to avoid a three-game losing streak while the Senators are hoping to win their fourth contest in five games when the teams skate out at the Canadian Tire Center tonight in Ottawa.
