Green Bay Packers News: Rodgers Speaks Out Against Racist Statement Fan

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was not only upset about the Packers loss to the Lions, but he was also disappointed in a Packer fan who screamed a racist comment during a moment of silence for the victims of the Paris massacre.

"I think it's important to do things like [the moment of silence]," Rodgers told ESPN's Bob Holtzman after the Packers' loss to Detroit. "We're a connected world -- you know, six degrees of separation.

"I must admit, though, I was very disappointed with whoever the fan was who made a comment that I thought was really inappropriate during the moment of silence. It's that kind of prejudicial ideology that I think puts us in the position that we're in today as a world."

Rodgers refuse to say what this person said, but reports are that a fan screamed "Muslims Suck" during a moment of silence before the Packers game.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell also heard the comments but refuse to comment on it.

"That's all I'm going to say about that," he said.

Rodgers hardly ever talks about things outside of football, so it was kind of a surprise that he would say anything about what took place at a Packers game.

Obviously, what was said shook Rodgers up and he decided to make a comment to show his support for Muslims around the world who are being prosecuted by many for the attacks in Paris.

Rodgers is one of the rare NFL athletes who actually spoke out on this issue publicly. May be his comments will prevent someone else for doing what this fan did Sunday.
