Jeremiah Ratliff was given his walking papers by the Chicago Bears in what seems to be another one of the defensive lineman’s tantrums, crossing the line with general manager Ryan Pace.
Reports have it that Ratliff had a heated exchange with Pace which seems to be pretty serious considering that the 34-year-old had to be escorted out of Halas Hall with local police kept outside.

While the Bears have not released an official incident report in the matter, the heated argument seems to have stemmed from an animated conversation between Ratliff and Pace last Wednesday.
Per the Chicago Tribune, it seems that Ratliff had reported in poor condition to work which most likely drew the ire of Pace. The scene was all the more curious considering that there were a couple of security guards near the two figures.

Whatever the official issue is, the Bears simply revealed that the decision to release Ratliff was for the best interest of the Bears.
In his place will be Ziggy Hood, a former first-round pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The latest episode appends the list of troubles that Ratliff has been in. That included serving a three-game suspension for the regular season after violating the league substance abuse policies.
His run-in with Pace also doesn’t came as a surprise. In 2013 when Ratliff was still with the Dallas Cowboys, an emotional exchange between him and team owner Jerry Jones ensued.
Apparently Jones was trying to fire him up but as it turned out, Ratliff took it the other way and went as far as to physically challenge Jones.
With his history of conflicts, it remains to be seen if any other NFL club would take a chance on the seventh round draft pick of the 2005 NFL Draft.
