The dramatic storyline between Lana, Rusev and Summer Rae took another turn on Monday Night RAW this week and it involved a fish.

Rusev gave Summer Rae gifts during the WWE's flagship show, one of which included a fish, and it was interrupted by Lana, who stormed into the arena to interrupt the segment.

Lana and Summer Rae then got into a fight, leading to the Ravishing Russian dragging Rusev's valet's face all over the fish.

JoJo interviewed Summer Rae about the event in this week's SmackDown Fallout, and she was in no mood to deal with it while she also put a positive spin on things.

"Oh you think you're funny JoJo? Is that it, you think you're funny?" Summer Rae asked. "I was assaulted. Lana assaulted me with a fish. With a fish -- are you -- who does that? You know what though? Joke's on her because fish are full of fatty acids and Omega-3s. You know what Omega-3s are good for JoJo? No you don't, obviously. It's good for your face, for your skin, for the beautiful hot summer. So if I were Lana, I would have some fish in my face the way she looks."

The feud between these parties began when Lana and Rusev split up a few months ago after the WWE teased a rift for quite some time.

As a result, the Ravishing Russian turned her attention to Dolph Ziggler, drawing the kayfabe ire of the Bulgarian Brute.

Summer Rae then emerged on the scene to pair up with Rusev, causing the two Superstars and two Divas to be on separate sides of this rivalry.

It all seemed to be building toward a bout between The Super Athlete and The Showoff, but Rusev sustained a legitimate foot injury on SmackDown, causing him to be sidelined.

When Rusev was ready to return, the WWE had to write Ziggler off so he could film the WWE Studios thriller 6:32, so Rusev was booked to savagely attack him with his crutch to simultaneously reveal that he's healthy again and to also give Ziggler a reason to be off of television.

There were rumors that Ziggler would return last week on RAW and he was advertised for the WWE's flagship show, but the company ran with the fish angle between the two ladies and Rusev instead.

Ziggler is expected to return soon and this storyline is likely to escalate into a match at SummerSlam on Aug. 23 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
