Duke-Wisconsin Rumors: Will Tony Romo's Support Be Enough To Beat Out Aaron Rodgers' Team?

The NFC playoffs featured multiple exciting games, but arguably the most memorable was when the Dallas Cowboys faced the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. The game was exciting, both quarterbacks played unbelievably well, and the game featured the most memorable officiating decision from the entire 2014 season.

While the teams may or may not still have lingering feelings about the playoff showdown, quarterbacks Tony Romo and Aaron Rodgers have immersed themselves in the NCAA Tournament so far, as each has appeared at multiple games. And now they will once again find themselves on opposite sides of an important postseason matchup.

Throughout the tournament, Rodgers has thrown his support behind the Wisconsin Badgers. Rodgers himself went to the University of California, but he has adopted the local team from his NFL home as his team for the tournament, and he and girlfriend Olivia Munn have been spotted cheering them on.

Romo has gotten behind Duke, and he has taken in a few of their games so far. He and some other members of the Cowboys' organization also spent some time in Durham a few weeks ago as a team-building trip that also gave them a chance to meet several Duke players and Coach K.

Wisconsin is a slight favorite heading into the game, and they probably deserve to be after taking down previously-undefeated Kentucky in the Final Four. But Duke has arguably the best player in the country (and possibly the top pick in this summer's NBA Draft), and they certainly are no strangers to playing games on the biggest stage.

While the stakes for Romo and Rodgers are much lower than the last time they found themselves on opposite sides of a game, the two will still undoubtedly root their hardest and do what they can to come out on top.
