Villanova's Crying Piccolo Girl Gets Surprise Gift From Jimmy Fallon [VIDEO]

The first weekend of the NCAA Men's Basketball tournament certainly lived up to its March Madness nickname. Multiple 14 seeds won their first game, there were a slew of incredibly exciting, close matchups, and fans delighted and agonized along with their teams every step of the way.

Perhaps the most notable occurrence of the weekend (other than the fact that the Big 12 ruined just about everyone's bracket in one way or another) was that Villanova was upset in the second round by North Carolina State. Of course, the exciting finish and eventual upset were not the sticking point of the contest. That honor belongs to a young woman that plays piccolo for the Villanova band, who was given a close-up after the final buzzer sounded, and she had tears streaming down her face as she continued to play her instrument.

Her name is Roxanne Chalifoux, and she has become the subject of numerous internet memes over the past few days. However, on Monday night, she got a pretty cool surprise, according to MSN.com.

Chalifoux was a guest on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Monday, and while she was there, she got to play her piccolo onstage with house band The Roots. She also got to sit down and chat with Fallon about her newfound fame, which is when he hit her with the big surprise.

Fallon gave Chalifoux a gift basket with an assortment of good stuff in it, and he iced the cake with tickets to an upcoming Taylor Swift concert, which just so happens to be one of Chalifoux's favorite musical artists.

I'm guessing that, on the whole, Chalifoux is thinking that the weekend was not so bad after all.
