Boston Red Sox Rumors: Pablo Sandoval Bashes Giants, 'Wasn't Hard' To Leave San Francisco [VIDEO]

Pablo Sandoval didn't leave his heart in San Francisco.

The new Boston Red Sox third baseman said he felt disrespected by the Giants' lack of push to re-sign him this offseason and didn't think twice about signing with the Red Sox after winning his third World Series title with San Francisco in 2014.

"If you want me around, you make the effort to push and get me back," Sandoval told Bleacher Report.

Sandoval spent his first seven MLB seasons with the Giants, winning the World Series in three of the past five years and taking home Fall Classic MVP honors in 2012.

Sandoval even said that he the Giants eventually offered him more than the five-year $90 million pact he signed with the Red Sox this offseason, but the bridge had already been burned.

"The Giants made a good offer, but I didn't want to take it," he told the site. "I got five years from Boston. I left money on the table in San Francisco."

He continued: "It is not about money. It is about how you treat the player."

Sandoval also told the site that he wouldn't miss anyone from his former team except for manager Bruce Bochy and former teammate Hunter Pence.

Sandoval squeezed the final out for the Giants in Game 7 of the World Series against the Kansas City Royals, but he knew well before the ball ended up in his glove that 2014 was likely to be his last season with San Francisco.

"I knew early in spring training last year I was going to leave," he said. "They didn't respect my agent -- contract talks, everything, the way [Giants general manager] Brian Sabean talked to my agent."

Sandoval, 28, hit .279 with the Giants in 2014 with 16 homers and 73 RBI.

The "Kung Fu Panda" also continued his penchant for October hitting, owning a .366 batting average in the 2014 postseason and a .429 mark in the World Series.

Sandoval and the Red Sox will visit the Philadelphia Phillies to open up the 2015 campaign on April 6. The Giants will likely be the furthest thing from the third baseman's mind.
