Andrew Luck is in the playoffs for the third time in his three-year career, and the young quarterback is starting to be known for some of his eccentricities as much as his play. One of his more notable quirks is the awkward neck beard that he grows each year during the season.

According to Luck, he prefers not to shave during the season, which is why we always see him sporting an increasingly gnarly beard as the year wears on. Many do not understand why Luck keeps the beard because, frankly, it does not look so great. To his credit, Luck is aware of how it looks, and he does not particularly care.
On conf call, Andrew Luck asked: "What's the deal with the beard?" Luck: "I realize it's a bad look. I'm not going for any specific look."

It obviously remains to be seen whether we will ever see a clean-shaven Luck during the season, but for the rest of this year at least, we can expect to continue to see the beard.
