College Bowl Season Best Games: 10 Underrated Matchups Of The NCAA Postseason

As we hit the college football bowl season all eyes are on the inaugural playoff system, but there are plenty of other fabulous match-ups besides Alabama-Ohio State and FSU-Oregon to look forward to.

Setting aside the Sugar and Rose Bowl, here are ten other bowl games sure to delight this holiday season:

10) Utah vs. Colorado State (Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl)
The Utes started strong but finished the season trending downward. Meanwhile, it'll be intriguing to see how CSU plays after head coach Jim McElwain bolted for the Florida Gators gig.

9) Cincinnati vs. Virginia Tech (Military Bowl)
The Hokies handed Ohio State their lone loss on the year.

8) Arizona State vs. Duke (Hyundai Sun Bowl)
Head coach David Cutcliffe has quietly built the once moribund Duke football program into a perennial bowl contender. The Sun Devils can put up points in a hurry, though.

7) Miami vs. South Carolina (Independence Bowl)
The Gamecocks began the season with championship aspirations. They'll have to settle for a trip to Shreveport instead.

6) Boston College vs. Penn State (Pinstripe Bowl)
Neither team is a powerhouse in 2014, but both teams boast huge fan bases that will be sure to pack Yankee Stadium for this game. This'll boast one of the best atmospheres of any bowl game.

5) West Virginia vs. Texas A&M (Liberty Bowl)
These two teams have the potential to combine for 100 points when their offenses are clicking.

3) Mississippi State vs. Georgia Tech (Orange Bowl)
The Yellow Jackets are one of the most underrated teams of the year. They play everyone close.

Tim Tebow will be the booth for this beauty.

Baylor will be looking to remind the world that they deserved a spot in that final four.
