Kevin Love Out of U.S. Men's Basketball Team [VIDEO]

Minnesota Timberwolves star Kevin Love won't be joining Team USA that is scheduled to participate in this year's FIBA Basketball World Cup, USA Basketball team managing director Jerry Colangelo announced on Saturday.

Interestingly, the Associated Press is reporting that Love is pulling out of the team because of the uncertainty of his stint with the Wolves.

Love thus becomes the second All-Star big man to skip the star-studded national team after Clippers superstar Blake Griffin announced he won't also be joining the national team so he can prepare for the upcoming season.

The U.S. basketball team will start its preparation for the FIBA World Cup with a training camp on July 28 to August 1 in Las Vegas. It is expected that the 12-man line-up will be finalized based on the performances of the players who will join the said camp.

In a statement, Colangelo said: "The fact is we can only look to the players we have available. Our job is to get the job done with our very, very deep roster, and we're anxious to get things started."

While Love and Griffin make up a formidable pair in the frontcourt, the U.S. team still has a lot of dependable frontcourt players to choose from. The team is expected to be bannered by league MVP Kevin Durant. Other big men who will be joining the Las Vegas camp are DeMarcus Cousins of the Sacramento Kings, Anthony Davis of the New Orleans Pelicans, Andre Drummond of the Detroit Pistons, and Kenneth Faried of the Denver Nuggets.
