Vincenzo Nibali of team Astana dominated another stage of the tour and extended his lead on the entire field. Alejandro Valverde of Movistar and Romain Bardet of AG2R trail Nibali by a large margin of more than there and a half minutes.
Stage 14 takes up into the high Alps as the racers will have their first taste of how brutal this race can be. The most grueling part of the race is of course at the end as the cyclists face a 12.6km slope up to Risoul at an average incline of 6.9 percent.
If the cyclists are to catch Nibali, they will have to knock him out of his comfort zone. Two massive climbs of 19km, six percent incline and 18.2km, 7.3 percent incline will give the riders a great chance to make a move for the yellow jersey, but Nibali has dominated these types of stages all tour.
