Andy Murray, Novak Djokovic and Venus Williams all played on Day 1 of Wimbledon and all three advanced with little to no struggle from the opposition. Of the ranked players, only No. 18 Fernando Verdasco and No. 25 Andreas Seppi faltered on the first day and went home early. On the women's side, No. 17 Samantha Stosur, No. 18 Sloane Stephens and No. 27 Garbine Muguruza all were sent home prematurely.
Day 2 of Wimbledon will have equal star power as Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Serena Williams will all be in action looking to avoid the big upset and advance into the next round. None of the top talent is expected to meet an untimely exit from England, but a match to look out for is Nadal vs. Martin Klizan considering Nadal is the reigning French Open champion and he hasn't won back-to-back matches at the All England Club since losing in the final to Novak Djokovic in 2011.
