Philadelphia seeks a sweep in the third contest of a seven-game road trip while Atlanta tries to salvage the final game of the series and to finish their six-game homestand with a 3-3 mark. The Phillies enter play in fourth place in the National League East, five games behind the first-place Washington Nationals while the Braves are in second place and a half-game back from the Nats.

Roberto Hernandez (2-5, 4.26 ERA) takes the ball for Philadelphia while Atlanta counters with Aaron Harang, who is 5-5 with a 3.20 ERA.

The Phillies are looking to continue to move up in the standings by knocking off the Braves for the third straight day after winning 6-1 on Monday and 5-2 on Tuesday.

"There's something to that, moving up," Phillies manager Ryne Sandberg said about the division standings via MLB.com. "It's also about continuing to play good baseball and continuing to do what we've done the last two games."

While the Braves are going through a tough stretch, the team is hoping to get it going and not let the mounting frustration get the better of them after losing five of seven games.

"We want to get it going," Braves third baseman Chris Johnson told MLB.com. "We obviously want to throw up some crooked numbers. We just have to keep grinding. We can't get too frustrated."

Philadelphia first baseman Ryan Howard is tied for third in the NL with 45 RBI and leads the team with 13 homers while outfielder Ben Revere ranks third in the league with 20 stolen bases.

Phillies second baseman Chase Utley is hitting a team-best .301 this season and is third in the NL with 24 doubles while shortstop Jimmy Rollins is riding a 12-game hitting streak heading into Wednesday's game.

Atlanta catcher Evan Gattis is hitting .296 and is tied for fourth in the NL with 15 homers and has added 36 RBI. Braves outfielder Justin Upton left Tuesday's game due to dizziness, but he leads the team with 37 RBI while hitting .278 and adding 14 long balls.

The Phillies look for a sweep while Atlanta hopes to salvage a game when these two teams battle in the series finale this afternoon at Turner Field in Atlanta.
