New York continues its 11-game road trip after beating the Philadelphia Phillies in four out of five games to start it while Chicago kicks off a six-game homestand after going 4-6 on a 10-game road swing.

"You're going to see nights like that out of him," manager Terry Collins said afterward via MLB.com. "He certainly has that ability, as we've seen in the past. He came into that reputation of dominating a game, and tonight he dominated this game."

The Mets have won six of their last seven games and seven of nine overall entering tonight.

The Cubs bullpen has improved over the last few weeks.

"They've settled in," Cubs manager Rick Renteria told MLB.com. "We've tried to at this point still put them in situations where we feel they're comfortable."

Chicago first baseman Anthony Rizzo is tied for fourth in the NL with 38 walks and is batting .267 with 10 long-balls and 28 RBIs.
