WWE Payback 2014 News [VIDEO]: John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt Match Expected, Feud Far From Over?

One of the major focal points in WWE storylines the last couple of months has been the feud between John Cena and Wyatt Family leader Bray Wyatt, and the two are expected to battle again at WWE Payback 2014 as their feud is far from over and is expected to last a long time.

Projected Card For WWE Payback

Wrestlingheadlines.com reports that Cena and Wyatt are likely going to have a match against each other in some capacity at Payback 2014 on Sunday, June 1 live from the Allstate Arena in Chicago. Cena got a victory over Wyatt at WrestleMania XXX while Wyatt got his revenge this past Sunday at Extreme Rules in New Jersey inside a steel cage.

According to the report, the feud between Cena and Wyatt is expected to last some time and will likely extend beyond Payback and into part of the summer. Whether or not Wyatt and Cena have another one-on-one battle or more participants are thrown in for Payback remains to be seen.

New Message From Warrior Entertainment, Sitcom To Honor The Ultimate Warrior

Other matches rumored for Payback include WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan once again defending his title against Kane, this time in a Buried Alive match, and Evolution battling The Shield in a six-man tag rematch from Extreme Rules.

There has been a lot made over Batista's status for the show as "The Animal" was expected to leave following Extreme Rules to promote his upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy movie before returning to the WWE for SummerSlam, however it now seems as though he'll stay for Payback and then go on a two month hiatus.

There were reports that the WWE wanted Batista to face Bryan in the main event for Payback but he turned down the match because he didn't want to lose to Bryan twice in a row after getting beaten by him at WrestleMania, and "The Animal" is frustrated that he hasn't been given what he was promised when he signed a contract with the WWE in the winter.

The WWE has reportedly thrown an audible and will now have Kane face Bryan again while the Evolution and Shield feud will continue to progress towards another match at Payback.

There have been multiple reports that the scripts for Monday Night RAW had to be re-written because the WWE initially had Batista losing to Bryan on that show but since Batista wasn't into doing a program with Bryan, the WWE opted to have Alberto Del Rio face Bryan instead.

While the card remains up in the air, it appears as though Payback may have as many as three rematches from Extreme Rules when all is said and done at the Allstate Arena in Chicago on June 1.
