Blake Griffin throws water on Warriors fan? Griffin fouls out of Game 1, spectator gets wet during Blake's protest

Blake Griffin played just 19 minutes in the Clippers' 109-105 Game 1 loss to the Golden State Warriors, and after fouling out with 48.3 seconds left tossed  water on a 22-year old Warriors fan seated near the Clippers bench.

The incident happened when Griffin was holding a cup of water in his right hand right in front of the scorer's table. He then threw up his arms after watching a replay of the call that earned him his sixth and final foul, with the water landing directly on Will Meldman who was wearing a yellow Warriors shirt.

Meldman, however, did not accuse of Griffin of intentionally drenching him with water. He told Yahoo! Sports: "Honestly, I think it fell out of his hand. He fouled out and he was frustrated, so it just fell out of his hand. It just slipped out.

Griffin was apologetic to Meldman, saying: "I didn't know what I did, but it wasn't full. I apologize. It was water."

Interestingly, Meldman's friend Justin Wolf who was seated next to him said the Clippers star deliberately doused water on the hapless Warriors fan. He told Yahoo!: "I thought it was intentional," Wolf said. "He tends to do a little [expletive] during games, and he might have been pissed off on what [Warriors guard] Klay [Thompson] said."

This latest incident all the more spices up what has been an intense rivalry this season for the Clippers and Warriors. Prior to the start of the series, Thompson had called out Griffin for flopping, with Clippers head coach Doc Rivers saying he does not want Griffin to engage the Warriors guard in a word war.
