Phillies shortstop Jimmy Rollins made history today by making his 14th straight opening-day start for Philadelphia. The mark is the National League record and ties Cal Ripken’s MLB record for shortstop starts for the same franchise.
In amazing fashion not only did Rollins make his record setting appearance but he player fantastic as well. In the second inning Rollins went deep for his 200th home run-- and it just happened to be a grand slam.

Rollins has been the source of trade talks recently as the Phillies look to get younger at multiple positions. Rollins now has 400 doubles, 100 triples and 200 home runs making him the 19th player in history to accomplish the feat.
